Support our mission to nourish, educate, and empower
At Carver Center, volunteers play an essential role in supporting our mission to nourish, educate, and empower. There are opportunities to serve across all of our programs, from youth enrichment and adult education to food distribution and community events.

Current Greatest Need

Carver Market

Carver Center’s Carver Market continues to serve as a vital food access point for families across Port Chester. Operating as a self-choice pantry, the Market allows individuals and families to select fresh produce, proteins, and shelf-stable items that best meet their needs, while maintaining dignity and choice. Each week, hundreds of households rely on Carver Market for consistent, nutritious food as part of their daily lives.

We are currently seeking volunteers (bilingual Spanish is a plus) to support Market operations, including restocking and organizing shelves, unpacking deliveries, and preparing for Market days. Volunteers play an essential role in ensuring the space runs smoothly and remains welcoming for all who visit. Some tasks may require lifting boxes and assisting with setup.
